Showing to be in a good spot with sufficient air displaying a dark fruited profile with black tea leaves, purple flowers and Rhône like smoked meats. The palate shows great concentration, fruit density and length, but if I were to nitpick I’d say acid shows elevated. Still a lovely wine.

Took a couple of hours to really open up. Nice medium to dark fruit, iron/smoked meat, tar, hints of violets. Nice balanced acidity and lingering finish.

ok, most if the score goes to the nose. nose is Burgundy:-) solid bottle of grand cru. but nose... shines. from the get go. last of three in the past few years and best of the bunch. '93 go to sleep twice?
