Almost like a Cru Beaujolais, but less candied, lots of anise type, tar covered cherries, crushed rocks, and my fave descriptor of the day: "grocery store bulk licorice bins". Light and easy going on the palate.

First 100% mondeuse. Simply brown sugar, sasparilla, warmed black cherries and currant. Smooth tannins. Savory long finish. Supposedly ageable but not sure I see the components to improve overtime.

This '09, 100% Mondeuse is enjoyable to drink: nicely structured & balanced with wild black fruit, earth, spice & floral notes.

Never heard about this winemaker. This is like an old school Mondeuse to me. Very much on the fruit and light. Not too structured. Filiation more with Beaujolais than North Rhone. Candy, fruit, a bit wild. Quite happy with it actually!

Strong complex flavor, with some bitterness/earthy. Super enjoyable. Different.

2016- medium body with notes of pepper. Yummy. Best to drink in one setting.
