This is one of those wines you like to have in the cellar for certain kinds of meals. It’s light, fragrant, very savory and minerally. Some crunchy cherry fruit. Good acids. Terrific with “white hash,” a simple dish made with leftover roast chicken in a roux-thickened chicken broth.

A value-priced alternative to Sancerre Rouge. Light, zesty nose of chalky, high-toned, almost candyish cherry fruit and a bit of moist loam. Very minerally in the mouth, with the cherry fruit along for the ride in a savory vehicle. Surprisingly long finish. In the absence of an Alsace Pinot, it was a good accompaniment to my Poulet au vinaigre et vin blanc.

Lively, enjoyable. Grand when you want a friendly red with a chill. Definitely a cool climate Pinot. But that works for a summer night. If you favor mineral over fruit and like the lowtannin/medium alcohol profile of a pn go for it. And totally worth it for the price. One of those "I don't love but can't imagine anyone NOT liking it. And it's mildly interesting" baubles. Can wine be a bauble? I say so.

Delicious. Cherry. Clove. Floral. Earth. Graceful with savory finish. Nice midpalate that shows more earth and spice. Whish there was more fruit on the finish, but that's why I keep coming back for another sip. #wine #menetousalon #jeanteiller #domainejeanteiller

Fun, different, pinot. Potpourri, rhubarb, licorice, leather, sanguine, tea leaf, red berry, tarragon. Decent pair with cassoulet and french onion soup.
