La Place Fixin Pinot Noir

Funky cherry on the nose. Big cherry in the mouth. Still a bit sharp at this age but refreshing acidity. At $22 this is a great weekday Pinot.

Light, fruity, nutmeg, complex. Furthest north of tasting. Slight minerality, wet sidewalk, gun powder finish. Spice

Third and final bottle and easily the best. Sweet black cherry, wet earth, fine tannin 😍

Black fruited, earthy, rustic. In a good place 👌

Nice Fixin. Was a replacement for the Marsannay that I wanted and this was somewhat similar. Quite linear with some depth and power. Nice pairing for the steak frites at dear old Raoul’s.

Wonderful village wine. PNP. The nose is expansive and full. Tart red fruits, not terribly complex but plenty of flavor. Excellent length. I’m happy to have several more as well as the 2014. Another Envoyer sensation!

Nice value Burg

Sensational Fixin from a great (less well known) producer in Vosne. This has been my house red the past couple of months. Delicious.
