Leather, charcoal- bramble and mineral hidden in rich red fruit. 2005 and very fresh- could still use a few years.

A lot of Brett for me, but great fruit, balance, and a lovely wine otherwise.

Huge black fruit and pepper. Chewy, dense wine. Great acidity.

The best St.Joseph wine I've ever tasted so far. Very intense but not too much. Red, black fruit with an earthy note. I can feel "finesse" from this wine.

The case for buying a case. Been trying it every year and only tonight (finally) is it resolved. And delicious. Tertiary, granite, head shop. #Boom

Best and most complex bottle yet. Simply beautiful.

This is just lovely with hints of black cherry and plum with creosote, black pepper and soy accents. Palate is full of spicy Syrah flavors with lots of white pepper, plum and black raspberry. Tannins are present but sauve with lifting acidity. Just a great level of balance on the earth driven finish.

Consistently delicious.

2005
