Clos Florentin Saint-Joseph Syrah

Young, but so incredibly good now if but mostly primary. That will easily hit 100 points once it gets of age.

Off the charts good, textbook classic Syrah made in a clean and almost too perfect way. Where are the faults? Kidding aside this is about as good as anything I have had from St. Jo from Gonon or anyone else. All the classic notes of black pepper, roasted meats, bacon fat, olive, the hole package...the nose is very pronounced and the palate has freshness to the generosity, a super long finish and a very fun and enjoyable bottle!

Plum, blackberry, umami and spice all prevent, so much depth and length but so young. Hold for a long while and come back. Will be delicious.

Leave it alone for now but my god this wine has potential

Greatest st joe I’ve ever tasted.

A warm ripe year, but exhibits classic balance, depth, and layering. Looking forward to seeing how this vineyard progresses.

More open than expected. Dark Raspberry and cherry, plenty of spice and some olive. Tasty.

Needs time. Complex, intense, and densely packed... this isn’t showing everything it’s got yet. Some herbaceous notes and a more mineral as opposed to juicy quality. Hold

First release of this single vineyard St Joe. Intense fruit tones on the nose with cassis, plum and blackberry. A subtle hint of spice and fresh herbs and complexity. Lush and full on the palate with polished fruit driven tannins. Ripe, deep long finish. Based on its balance this will age effortlessly. Dynamite quality that shows more vintage character than terroir at the moment.
