Domaine J. Denuziere
Saint-Joseph Syrah
sry expressive, camp fire, smokey, fat back, blackberry, even more bacon as it opens. Creamy palate, medium@plus acid, integrated tannins.

Jun 10th, 2019Nose of funk and green pepper. A bit of tannins structure, but not as energetic as other syrahs. Much more restrained.

Dec 28th, 2019A little bramble, leather, and surprising lightness on the palate for a wine opaque with jammy berries.

Dec 2nd, 2019Nose of funk and ripe berries, this didn't seem as good as it could have been. It lacks the depth of other Rhones, which is surprising given the '16s were great overall.

Dec 26th, 2018Interesting nose!: Hay, leather and “rotten” grass. I am not Indian but I lived India and I can say it does smell a little bit like cow dung, I.e. streets of madras. Once passed beyond the nose, full dark berries with earthy tones. Great length of 20 -30 seconds with punch of tannin. Really interesting if you can cope with the nose.
