More complexity bang-for-the-buck than any white I’ve recently had. Fresh balance of floral and chalk with hints of white and melony fruit seeping through the immediate acidity. 3-4 years will pay off huge though at this price hard to resist.

Still the greatest dry white value on the planet. This 2017 is in the zone 5 years from harvest.

Huet always sets a high bar and here’s another wine where the estate vaults to new heights. So floral. So much floral intrigue, it’s baroque and achingly beautiful. I don’t think any Chenin I’ve tasted has the level of floral definition of Domaine Huet’s best. And always of course just the right acid and texture, some lemon, a touch of honey and always high-toned and weightless. Effortless balance. Or rather, just plain in-service-to-the terroir, sane, zen (egoless) and restrained winemaking.

This was my white of the day until we opened another - what not to like - @David L and o totally agree with @Antonio Galloni and his rating - I know a Chenin blanc - but this is a special wine - try it and I promise you will agree

The 2019 Sec Clos du Bourg is a wine of stature and vertical build. There is real gravitas to the orchard fruit, spice and earthy flavors. Tasted blind, Clos du Bourg might be confused with a red wine such is its feeling of volume and structure. Far from an easygoing Vouvray, Clos du Bourg is a very serious wine. I loved it. In a word: marvelous. In three words: don't miss it. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, October 2020)

Vintage 2013 | Mesmerizing Chenin Blanc. Remarkable development in colour, tends to mahony and gold. Apparently quite forward in smell, but this is deceptive. With aeration the wine is really multi-layered with a complexity that makes it a real nice game to describe what you smell: hay, Turkish fruit, apricot, honey, minerals. Great balance. Fine wine. Paired with fresh figs and ham, halibut and ratatouille.
