Domaine Henry Pellé
La Croix au Garde Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc
Picked up a split of this because all my .375 empties got accidentally thrown out (I use them to store unfinished bottles in the fridge). So I was mostly after the bottle itself but what’s inside happens to be superb—lime, apple and floral notes with fine but not hard edged limestone mineral character, softened perhaps by the clay component of the terroir. I Sancerre-ly enjoyed it!

Nov 2nd, 2020Physically Distanced 🚧 but Socially Close 🤗 2020 Independence Day Party 🇺🇲 🥳 with several members of our Tastevin crew.🍷 Proof that our palates are wider than Burgundy, outside of sanctioned events.🍾
Notes may be light, scores will be honest. 💯🦄

This wine is superb. Light, exciting, fun and creates great conversation-- you can drink lots and not have a groggy head in the morning

Sep 16th, 2021This wine would be a total crowd pleaser....but I drank it myself.
I am a lover of the diversity of SB depending on region and climate. Where some SBs can be citrus driven this one is not. Instead it has a delicate nose of pear and ripe green apple. The palate was perfectly balanced with acid that did not overtake the wine. It had flavors of ripe apple with a stony character and a hint of lychee. It also had a softness which I would assume meant it had some lees stirring. This is definitely one I will purchase again.
