My go white Bourgogne producer. Especially, in a great vintage like 2020. Extreme White burgundy value.

The closer it gets to 61-62 the more flavorful it gets!

Happy Birthday Angela.

Distant wood smoke, recently crushed rocks, candied pineapple, ripe yellow apple... delicious!

The 2016 is a total standout of recent vintages.

Nose has fresh lemon slice, cut green & yellow apples, Italian bread, vanilla cremé and wet slate.

Palate has fresh pineapple, cold yellow apple, white flowers, sandstone and mild vanilla notes. Great acidity (as expected in the most youthful of stages, current vintage) with some drying, chalky aspects.

Decanted 90m. Another great Boillot Bourgogne Blanc to stock the cellar with for enjoyment 2023-29.

On the Lawn at Tanglewood this evening with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Our Conductors Andris Nelsons and John Williams will be leading a very engaging program of Jessie MONTGOMERY (Starburst), John WILLIAMS (Violin Concerto No. 2, world premiere featuring Anne-Sophie Mutter!), COPLAND (Quiet City) and STRAVINSKY (Suite from The Firebird, 1919 version). We're getting the luxury of enjoying Mr. Williams two nights in a row...what a great weekend of Contemporary music!

There are better White Burgundies but, for far more money. More expensive ones work for special friends & occasions. However, I am really happy w/ a number of White Burgundy producers Bourgogne’s in good vintages. Happy w/ Bourgogne Blanc’s as well vs. heavily new oaked Sonoma/CA Chardonnay’s. Stylistically, just more pleasing to my palate.

The palate is creamy, rich, lush, waxy, honeysuckle, lemon juice, stone fruits, pineapple, lime candy, brilliant powder, chalkiness, delicate limestone volcanics, sea spray/fossils, crust part of toast, phat, round acidity, well balanced, nice length and very well polished.

Hold this a bit longer for something even more special…three years.

Excellent for $30.

Nose has grilled lemon, washed strawberry, vanilla cremé, wet flint rock, dehydrated apricot and warm butter.

Palate has cooked lemon slice, fresh lemon, pineapple, cold toffee candy, wet sand and medium acidity with medium finish.

Cork pulled for a 5H slow oxidation.

@David T probably has a better note...

Agreeable pairing tonight with 'Georgian Chicken'; (local) chicken thighs with dry rub, seared in cast iron, then simmered/baked in a walnut/cilantro/jalapeno/tomato paste sauce, finished with pomegranate seeds & pomegranate vinegar drizzle.

Nose has light wood smoke, light struck flint, washed lemon, cold pineapple, apricots, chalky limestone, light vanilla and browning butter.

Palate has warmed lemon slice, candied pineapple, light toffee, warm yellow apple, orange zest, dried lemon pith with good acidity and medium finish. Not as good as the 2016 vintage, but certainly enjoyable!

50% Meursault fruit. Ripe from this warm year. Aromas of citrus peel and a little pineapple juice. Pretty good palate power for a Village Burgundy. The following day honeyed nuances developing. A high achieving producer in Burgundy who seems to be well liked by Delectable users.

Richness without really having much fruit character. Really well-balanced, walking a knife's edge between sumptuousness and acidity.
