Quintaine Viré-Clessé Chardonnay

Hay on the nose, some ripe red apple and pear notes. Tremendous texture, good subtle sweetness on the finish. Pawpaw and banana. Some buttery notes; long savory finish.

Med+ intensity/finish. White blossom, honey, acacia, lily, chalky minerality, canned peach/apricot/nectarine.

Finely textured and wispy, with a tropical / floral / leesy character. Finishes brisk and clean, on a salty/stony note. Quite pretty

Tropical, full and generous fruit... Seems to have about 6-8 grams RS still. Almost Californian in its weight and sweetness.

I have loved this producer longtime so I will chalk this gross, plasticine-y bottle up to variation and try again another time. 😢

Easy drinking and delicious. Tropical and rich but still plenty of acidity.

The 2017 is super elegant and a good bit better than rated

Salted lemon, tropical fruit, med body, med + acid, classic white burgundy and a great QPR 👍

Less vire-clesse, more very classy.
