Mid Ruby with tawny rim. After decanting noticeable oak on nose with astringency and acid on palate - not a good start. Time improved things to reveal a fragrant aromatic nose of red fruits with a touch of savoury compost heap. Certainly the nose of a Grand Cru from a good vintage. Has a solid core of fruit and fine but noticeable tannins which will carry this thru into the 2020s. Next one in 5 years.
