Domaine Grégoire Hoppenot
Clos de l'Amandier Fleurie Gamay
Very fragrant, soft, and forward. Color’s not particular saturated, but this is not a shy wine. Nose has sweet, sappy, plummy cherry juice, baking spice, subtle granitic minerality, and a faint musky, animal note. In the mouth, it’s lively and flavorful, with crunchy cherry fruit, and a clingy minerality. Bone dry, with excellent acids and a pure finish.

Mar 8th, 2023A fuller more balanced style of Fleurie. Actually would consider this a perfect pairing for Thanksgiving day. Cheers.
