I think this is 2016 but at Berlioz he isn’t a fan of putting that pesky vintage on the bottle. But we still love him. Nose is tropical and wonderful. Very ebullient. A lovely dollop of mountain air and some stunning alpine flowers. Palate is ripe and rich with perfect balance and freshness coming from the intense minerality and the lovely bitter fruits on the finish. So clean and energetic for being what I would call low acid out of the gates. Good sap and lovely precision and so so well made. Berlioz is a genius .

Oct 22nd, 2022Nose is complex off the bat. Tropical fruit, wild flowers. Like papaya and mango but also a cutting smokey floral aspect. Hint of high end bling bling honey. Sweet and savory honey like aspect. Feral. Really just full of character. Palate is clean, elegant, balanced and super pure. Juicy, nimble and really graceful. Nice concentration and depth. Tropical fruit continues on the palate. Sneaky length and intense mineral crescendo on the finish.

Mineral finish with honey and tangerine. Complex and so dense but my goodness is it elegant. Beautiful lingering honey on the finish with mineral and perfectly mineral citrus. Wow. Gorgeous.

Just stunning. Terrific power and concentration and such stunning purity. So clean, so mineral and so balanced. Amazing palate that is ultra refined and so so long. Wonderful.

100% Roussanne.
Nose has an incredible amount of beeswax, over-ripe guava and apricot skin.
Palate is like a guava/peach rolled in clay and then you take a big chomp and it's more juicy than expected from a hybrid guava/peach. Great Savoie experience.

What a nose. Rich and waxey, yellow fruited and utterly ridiculously complex. So juicy and pure. Very clean. Earthy and complex but so textured and plenty of fruit and also plenty of acid. Rich yet structured with length to burn. A stunning balance. A great wine.

Mineral. Leaps out of the glass. Wonderful. So Roussanne. Textured and riper than mon ami. Less acidity but makes up for it with striking texture. Wonderful again.

Holy mother of god. After this opens the nose is sick. Like elite northern Rhône white. One of the best noses I’ve had all year. Maybe the best fruit forward white nose. The most gorgeous yellow fruits. Crazy dense. Perfumed. Palate is terrific. Dense juicy fruits. Some perfumes internal aromatics Fresh. Well balanced. Maximally delicious. For $35ish a steal. Worth $60-$100.
