2015. First time around with this producer. Loads of power right out of the gate. Nose packs a big aromatic punch with spiced bing cherries & mushroom/earthiness. The palate is rich dark fruit with ripe, grippy tannins. Acid is behind everything else at this point. The mid palate shows fantastic spicy notes that linger through the finish. Paired with the grippy texture, this shows great complexity for such a young wine.

Domaine Gille Pinot was the best wine across both our wine pairings. Wouldn’t have guessed Pinot or France from the nose and palate. Rich, deep, earthy wine.
