Les Fuées Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Pinot Noir

Still incredibly youthful yet also one of the more open and accessible 05’s I’ve had. It’s gorgeous tonight in every way showing just how special the Fuées terroir and its 70+ year old vines are. It’s dark fruited, elegant and expansive, and also structured with fine grained tannins and incredible depth and balance to its layered fruit, florals, spice and minerality. Its finish just keeps on lingering. Fabulous bottle.

Deep in color versus a typical Chambolle. Red fruits and sappy however enjoyable with air. Definite upside here.

Finally a decent old Barthod bottle. These wines don’t age well. They taste way better when they are young.

Shows great promise a serious Chambolle !

Corked unfortunately

Sexy and sleek. Full of freshness, should cellar nicely for a while. Bright ripe red cherry, anise, flowers.

Wide open. Savory soy and mushroom notes. Surprisingly deep dark core - much more sense than expected. Drink don't hold.
