Les Cras Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Pinot Noir

Barthod needs age, and ‘06 Les Cras, one of my favorite sites in Burgundy, is showing beautifully tonight after some air, not at all clunky like the vintage can sometimes be, but instead showing both richness and elegance, focus and complexity, and at the perfect intersection of primary and secondary character. A terrific 2006.

Fresh candied drink me right meow. The 06' is in a fine spot.

Really struggled with this one. I enjoy Ghislaine's wines and love her passion. This 06 Cras is very shut down and gave almost nothing on the nose even after 2 hours. The palate was tight and closed as well with acidity edging out the fruit at this point. Check in after a few more years.
