Decanted for an hour. Pure elegance. The Caitlin Jenner of wines. Power and finesse rolled into one package.

Powerful aromas of black cherry, tar and reduction. Structured. Not yet ready.

2005 vintage. Opened but not decanted. At Millesimes in Chambolle. Medium ruby hue. Very complex nose. Strawberry, black berries and furniture polish. Dark wood, savoury spices and with air, touch of aniseed and mint. Floral. On the palate, medium acidity, medium tannins - plush and round. Great length. Not the complexity or depth of Roumier's best wines, but still bloody good! Drink now until 2030.
