Gorgeous nose. Floral. High tone. Silky textures. Pure grace. So youthful.

This took a while to open as we did not decant. Showing very tight and youthful. Cherry & plum fruits, game bird and mineral all take a seat at the table.

top flight Tuesday - went from slightly over-mature 'treated wood' to underripe cherry to sweet black cherry to tawny plum - that was only the aromatics... awesome wine.

1985 Bonnes-Mares, Domaine G. Roumier:
when this wine was first poured it hit us all in the face like an huge explosion of ripe, perfumed Pinot fruit, bacon and sausage aromas and an almost sweet finish that lingered for seemingly minutes on the palate!!!
Quintessential moments like this make collecting and aging great wines so rewarding--a stunning '85 with plenty of life left in it--TRULY AMAZING!!!

Absolutely one of the best wines I have ever had. So full of fruit and structure.

Powerhouse. Tons of structure. Deep and still very primary. Reasonably approachable if not giving. Hold
