Had higher hopes. Love the Pommard and the whites, but this lacked.

A much more voluptuous Mercurey-add this to the beginners guide to Burgundy....classic c aromatics, balanced acidity and a soft, approachable velvety texture....

Beautiful aromas of sandalwood, black cherries, butterscotch, and roses with hints of ginger and cedar. Too bad those flavors don't extend to the palate, which is mostly red berries with a finish that fades fairly quickly for a wine in this price range.

Pinot Noir by Génot-Boulanger, a family-owned domaine in Meursault with vineyards scattered throughout 30 different appellations in Burgundy - from Chambolle-Musigny in the Côte de Nuits to Mercurey in the Côte Chalonnaise. This particular wine comes from a 1.8 hectare plot in the Sazenay 1er Cru in Mercurey, planted in 2000. Berries, butterscotch, vanilla, subtle peppery notes
