If I had to pick a BTG for the house, this would be it.

I mean...this is it isn't it? This is what Chardonnay should be. Amazing nose, great texture, long finish.

Yup. Was in the mood for Meursault and this did it. Beautifully textured and shows its curves with elegance. Popcorn, struck flint, lemon curd, yellow apples, crumbly rocks. So broad and rich then a zip of minerals and acid on the mid-palate. Lovely wine and would love to try with a few years in bottle

Pop and pour. Notes from 6 hrs open. On the nose: lemon, loads of stone, quinine and oaky richness, maybe a hint of nuttiness, but still very primary. On the palate: fantastic acidity, lemon, quinine, crushed stone, soft marzipan, good tang on the finish.

A touch disjointed with the first course (spinach, pomelo and artichoke hearts), but lovely with the next two courses.
