Really great cooperage work here, nicely integrated and compliments the wine well without showing itself too much. Imprint of the vintage evident in the lift and freshness coupled with a nice compact palate of fruit and earth. I think ‘16 will age forever. Crushed strawberries and raspberries, huge notes of crushed granite and iron, intensely so. Spices and forest round it out. Beautiful wine

Sur le fruit, et avec 5 ans de plus, il développera ces notes pour quelque chose de plus compoté. Cerise, groseille, violette, poivre et un petit quelque chose végétal. Alcool perceptible. Tannins encore bien présents

Definately better than the normal sized bottle; this is more expressive, more spicy and showing its origin better. Lovely on the nose, but still fails to impress on the palate, but for sure; mid-term cellaring will round things off nicely.
