I love Lambert and he is the new Puffeney for me at least. This is his highest level Trousseau. Brambly raspberries and cherries with gorgeous fresh leaves after a significant rainstorm. Floral. More violets than anything else. Bright cherries as well. A dream of a nose. Lambert is a classicist. No funky natural garbage here. Terrific palate with nice concentration and structure. Big structure suggests aging. Barely sweet cherries and raspberries and lots of length. Chewy and dense, but never heavy and terrific finesse. Great sap. This is very young but has enormous potential. I’ll be bask as it airs. Love all the underlying raw materials here and the fruit imprint on the finish leads me to believe this will greatly improve.

With serious air this has gotten so elegant and nimble with gorgeous sweet fruit. 9.3 to 9.4.

Needs a bit of air and/or time. Hot and disjointed at first; fruit really came through showing around hour five. Very pretty, earth, rose petals, sweet cherry. Lovely.
