A light gold edged hue- a touch of oxidation and not as fresh as the 15 montee alongside. Great minerality and focus. A touch of spice and corn. Very poised. Very good- yum

Darker gold in color than the 14. Lovely and plush. Corn, a hint of honey. Lemon. Gorgeous balance and acidity. Lovely

Gorgeous stuff. Poised with limestone and soft orchard fruit, salinity. Still quite primary with real definition and thrust. Fantastic stuff. So balanced and pure

Awesome! Its shed some of the ripe and primary fruit, but still has a warm vintage generosity to it in the acidity. Captures Vaillons charming fruit and oyster shell core. Was expecting more honeyed richness but surprised by the nerve underneath the warmth of the year. Its fresh and gets going. Totally fucked with prosciutto wrapped asparagus, boiled taters and sauce Mornay, one of the top pairing of the year so far.

Light gold color. Killer Chablis nose comes on after 3 hours of air. Notes of apricot, wet river stone, citrus, honey, white Kimmeridgian clay, sea shells, and tan spice. Has nicely developed secondary notes, and this is just starting to hit its stride. Rich and powerful. I think with about 5 more years the 2002 Raveneaus will start hitting their mark in a big way.

Straw gold color. Bright in the glass. The nose has a very slight dirty taint. But there is also some apricot, some spice and citrus, some white clay stone and some honey. The odd slight taint, something I find similarly in Niellon wines, moves to the sidelines after several hours of patience… but it is a detracting flaw nevertheless. But beyond it this bottle has ample fruit and acidity. Absent the slight taint, this bottle easily had 10+ years of fun in front of it.

Straw gold color. Worrisome, oxidative nose upon open. Decanted and let sit for 2 hours. The oxidation notes eventually blow off to reveal a rich and young Chablis. Notes of white stone, dry clay, apricot and kiwi fruit, and some white flowers. Rich, chewy and young in the mouth. Great mouth feel. Perfect with our take out sushi tonight. Still young in its life and should improve with 5-10 more years of age.

A delicious yet restrained nose. Slate, limestone, lime. On the palate refreshing and crisp. Defined and balanced. Very good though I think a little reticent right now
