Clos Chablis Grand Cru Chardonnay

Supple complex oily and delicious in the nose. In the glass this is getting more expensive: pear, limestone, white pepper. Restrained but super classy and complex. Amazing stuff!

Gorgeous intensity. Posed with fresh pear, wet stone, cool salinity. Very precise and ordered but quietly delicious. Hints of green Apple and ocean spray. Really classy and excellent

Fabulous stuff. This is so complex and delicious. Oyster shells. Soft lemon, stone, light salinity. Profound and long and delicious with none of the overbaked qualities of some 2010’s. Spectacular.

Very intense and pure. Creamy with lime and lemon and great balance. Young but fantastic.

A beautiful beast opened before its time. So much going on but minimum 3+ years to sort out. Will merit higher rating almost certainly.

Medium gold, heavy like oil in the glass. Complex nose with notes of citrus, stones, marzipan and a little honey. A hint of oxidation is evident, but it's part of the complexity this bottle offers tonight. In the mouth this has massive power, yet is silky and coats the palate.

Not picture bottle. Cool and poised. Hints of lime and lemon with wet stone and soft orchard fruit. Very long and delicious and with time in glass more salinity and oyster shells comes through. Amazing stuff with life ahead.

Quite ripe for Rav. Peach, melon honey, chalk. A touch more exotic than the others. Atypical but very good. Balanced

Dense and still quite packed. Rockpool, floral notes, green apple. Really classy but a bit tight at first. Over an hour in the glass this unfurls and it’s pretty stunning. Really precise stone fruit, a contained lushness with wet stone notes and minerality. Years ahead but this is great
