Amazing fruit and lonely finish - but young and a hint of "
tough tar"

Delicious but not super complex - probably in middle phase and needs more time. Still tart red fruit, dry earth & rocks!

Btl 00220. Pop, 2.5 hrs slow ox with cork off. This is a fantastically disappointing bottle of Vosne. Where is the vosne spice, or earth? Heavy-handed, with a nose of heavy toast that almost completely overwhelms the fruit...what little fruit shows through leans burned cherry. On the palate, excellent acidity, but then dark toast rises up and obscures everything else....good density nonetheless, then some burnt orange peel, and coffee. On the finish, dense, very grainy tannin...almost like eating sawdust.
