Le Charmois 1er Cru Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Chardonnay

Was Chassagne and delicious.

Elevated spice, fruit, acidity and sweetness leads me to suspect a little botrytis here. Still tasty and fun nonetheless!

Now the holidays are happenin'...Goes down like gold, with that salt and lemon linger.

Delicious. Probably the ripest/richest St Aubin I've had (all things being relative,) but there's a beautiful balance between cut and fat. Dark for white burg. Stylish. Golden orchard fruits and that chardonnay fermented hay thing that I find particularly in St Aubin. Toothsome. I really don't splurge on white burg as much as I should. It's so good

2011 Vintage. - Another fine specimen from Carillon. Definitely can tell Chassagne is nearby, and deserves 1er status.

Absolutely beautiful on its own, or paired with food. Would be incredible with branzino!
