Domaine Franck Millet
Sancerre Pinot Noir Rosé
Had this last night with our salad course. If you’re looking for a wine that pairs with butter lettuce, golden apples, radishes, pistachios and a mustard vinaigrette, this is good choice. The high acidity handles the vinaigrette and the nice mineral back bone handles the mustard. It was a good even tug of war, wine and salad, which is an important element in any successful pairing.
It’s a fairly classic Sancerre Rosé. Some sweetness but not sugary or syrupy at all. Strawberries, watermelon, Rainer cherries, light citrus notes, pink roses, nice medium minerals, beautiful chalkiness, well done acidity, beautiful balance and nice polished finish.
Happy Birthday Hedy & Christina, as well, special thanks to Christina for cooking a very nice dinner and hosting.

The fruits are ripe and bright. Watermelon, Rainer cherries, thinned pomegranate juice. The minerality is more pronounced than most roses. It's razor sharp and near perfect as is the acidity and gritty chalkiness. Excellent pairing with the Burrata, roasted garlic/tomatoes, pesto, balsamic and chopped pistachios.

Jan 23rd, 2020If Loire rosé of the past two vintages have pleased you with their cloying excess then pass on this. But, if you enjoy lean rose water with hints of burnt tangerine (+ rosemary and thyme) fused to a backbone of embracing acidity that hangs around for a good minute--dude...go for it.
😋😋😋

Life is full of surprises, sometimes bad & sometimes good. I'm an optimistic person, and I'm trying to find good stuff even in bad situation. Mine car got broken (seriously it needs engine transplantation he he) but mine fridge still works great and can chill this beautiful SB :). Very aromatic light yellow lemonade, smells like lime with sugar & taste like Daiquiri. Medium body, dry as hell with long lemon aftertaste. This SB is really tasty & fresh, cold weapon for hot evenings. Vintage 2014, Sauvignion Blanc
