It was a bit dark in the restaurant but it seemed to have a ruby red color. Was cherries and a bit of minerality. My first Sancerre pinot noir so not much to compare it to.

Dry, light, fruit forward. Not good with red meat such as steak but pairs well with cheese and fruit.

2009 Domaine Fouassier Sancerre Rouge "L'Etourneau" is a wonderful, lean Pinot Noir experience. Lightly rich, medium to light tannins the 2009 was mature and delicious with creamy goat cheese and bread.
