2012, nice entry level red Sancerre. Light, crisp, cherry fruited pinot noir. Not a lot of complexity, structure or funk

Nice, but a bit past it's prime, I think.

It was a bit dark in the restaurant but it seemed to have a ruby red color. Was cherries and a bit of minerality. My first Sancerre pinot noir so not much to compare it to.

Well balanced, deeper end of pinot noir, full of flavor but light on tannins

Full of fruit and flowers...very round on the palate... Not very acidic for a rose... Great summer wine. We had it with stuffed peppers and it was great.

Dry, light, fruit forward. Not good with red meat such as steak but pairs well with cheese and fruit.

2009 Domaine Fouassier Sancerre Rouge "L'Etourneau" is a wonderful, lean Pinot Noir experience. Lightly rich, medium to light tannins the 2009 was mature and delicious with creamy goat cheese and bread.
