Domaine Faiveley (Joseph Faiveley)
Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru Chardonnay

Coolest bottle number ever! And the content; well wow!!! Burying with golden citrus fruits and the underlying spine of crushed chalk is to die for. While rich and wrapped in luxurious oak, it's also airy and long, almost savoury but still elegant. Impressive!

Had on 5/8/15. Vintage Wine Merchants. The golden color caused me a moment's pause, but no premox detected. Pure perfume on the nose early, that settled into a lively pear-gala apple aroma with caramel and oak. Rich mouth-feel, lush fruit, citrus and vanilla. The acid was tentative, but lasted minutes. Not as complex as I'd like, but a lovely; ready wine.
