Meaty and bloody on the nose- gamey. Cooked cherries nicely balanced soft tannins. Velvety and beautiful

Pale red with brown edges, let’s say brick. Soft red fruit. All flavors pronounced and elegant. Sour cherries. Wow for a 30 year old wine this is kicking Ass!! A shame this is the last bottle available if you could find! I would love to have more. Definitely the climax of lunch!! Welcome to NY!!

Very reflective of the vintage. Albeit softened, the tannins are quite persistent still, I found the oak integrated, but the character of the tannins suggests underripe fruit. The alcohol seems a touch out of balance, most likely from chaptalization given the year. The sense of alcohol does not match up with the fruit character. Acid driving the wine. Tertiary notes dominate, leaves, leather, dried violets, animal and wet earth, dried cherry.
