Spectacular Chateauneuf-du-Pape from century-old Grenache vines in the Colombis lieu-dit with extremely low yields (15 hl/ha). Only 900 bottles produced in 2015. Intensely perfumed with licorice, dark cherries and fresh herbs. Concentrated and powerful, but very elegant at the same time, like Burgundy on high alcohol steroids. The Grenache alcohol (15,5 % abv) is perfectly balanced by the acidity and the velvety tannin structure. Very long finish too. Biodynamically farmed. This producer always seems to get it right.
