I rated this just a week ago or so. Upon opening this second bottle was the same as the first one. Limited character and fruit. After a week of air the wine mellowed out, turned soft and oxidized. Plum characteristics, lime, crushed marble. Plenty of tannins left. Yet still an overall lacking Grand Cru wow effect and after 12 years secondary flavors need to impress. It is simply not a great wine for what it is.

Yes a Gran Cru. It is charming but over all for what it is just OK. The wine lacks depth and to a certain extent fruit. So it pains me to say that i will open and drink up the remaining bottles. c'est la vie especially when your passion is burgundies.

Some people say this is supposedly Rousseau lite. I think it's more Fourrier like, but without the nutmeg spice.

A fan of Duroche wines. Distinctive bright red fruits on the nose and lightness on the palate. While this was enjoyable with its elegance, it felt like it had not come together at the moment and finish was a little short.
