Vin de Savoie Mondeuse

Hit the spot. High elevation vineyards. Lean and earthy.

Nose is so great. Dried cherry/blueberry, white pepper, dried pine needle...little meaty. Still a baby. Great acidity.

Mid ruby, cherries and blueberries, dry, touch of acidity and little tannin; herby notes with red fruit. Elegantly mature. 2010

2011. Definitely related to Burgundy in style. More dry than fruit. Savory and delicious.

Tad reductive to start, blossomed into cran/raspberry and stems with a little mulch and floral touch, cooked collards, fresh and grippy but a little short and bretty on the finish.. We fux with it.

Tart berry, stems, earth, pomegranate.. Needs to open for a bit

If you like Mondeuse... You will live White Mondeuse! A delicious wine from the Savoie region in France!

2010

Tad reductive out of the bottle. But I suspect it will blow off. Palate is all crunchy red fruits with nice wild tannin. Mondeuse is great because no one can tame it and no one should.

Grapey Grapenstein. This tastes like grapes. More tannic than expected, but also showing it's age. Drink this now if you like grapes.
