Still bright purple with some tawny. Looks young and vibrant in the glass. Powerful nose. Bing cherry, moist soil, sandalwood, ripe rhubarb, and Asian spice. Rich and round in the mouth. Screams red burg. WOTN for many, including me. (Bday dinner 8/13)

Still so young. Tannins were ripe but firm. Great complexity and intensity. The fruit still dominated. Great balance. Really opened up over two hours. Needs another 5-10 years.

Oct 30th, 2018Tawny color with some deep scarlet color in the core. Mostly translucent. Notes of black cherry, rhubarb, menthol, soil. A rewarding sweetness in the mouth. With air the perfume of the wine just ballooned over the evening. Rich and powerful structure. Great balance of fruit and acidity with perfectly integrated tannins. WOTN for almost everyone.
