Le Vin de Plume Mourvedre Syrah

This was a difficult wine a lot of syrupy raspberry / blackberry - although a little Volatile acidity here that put me off - would have had a hard time with wine blind

80/20 Mourvèdre/Syrah. Languedoc. Strawberry, pepper, some brett. Air would do this justice but I ain’t I got time for that, it’s Wednesday, I think, pound town. Fifteen bucks.

A little funk.

Earthy and a little barnyard balanced with good fruit and just enough tannins

Intriguing bouquet of musty boot leather, mushrooms

Full body heavier syrah flavor for me.

Slate, very faint cherry with a tobacco long finish. Very old French vineyard
