Cuvée Réservée Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend

Gorgeous wine with garrigue, violet, smoky meat, wild strawberries, cloves, lavender, bay leaf and leather. This is so elegant already and will be even better balanced with a bit more time in bottle. Great examples of Southern Rhône grenache. Very enjoyable already.

Still has so much life. Dusty plum, scorched earth and cedar on the nose. Ethereal and elegant. Perfectly stored example and shows how good the 90 vintage was

Hit this one right in the zone. Grenache is super aromatic, fruit is fully integrated and soft tannins but enough to hold it together. Yum.

When there is a national emergency and you’re in the mood for something special, THIS is a downright beautiful sip. Hopefully it will reward a decant and a slow imbibe on a warm Saturday by the Sound.

Tawny. Almost opaque. Great nose. Herbal. Notes of earthy red fruit, some tart black cherry, herbs de Provence, and gravel stone. Nice smooth texture in the mouth. Gave it 7 hours of air time. For the vintage this was surprisingly not over the top, and very much enjoyable.

Powerful animal, tobacco and candied black fruits on the nose. Smooth but apparent tannins, with sweet black cherries and long finish. Very alive and kicking.

Lovely Grenache based perfume showing Raspberry and Garrigue notes typical of Chateaneuf du Pape. Medium bodied palate with fine supple tannins. Was expecting it to be more full bodied from a quality producer in a good vintage. Always have loved mature CdPs. No need to cellar any longer.

Intense red fruit with lots of stink. A lovely sour cherry note. Pure and intense. Lovely and tangy and fresh, lucid and tasty.

Beef jerky, smoked bacon and leather. Meaty wine yet very balanced.

Licquor nose. Shiny polished cherry. Intense and clear. Sweet with a long finish. Drinking well now.
