This is the 6th or 7th batter in your line-up who consistently comes through with the game winning hit more than the big boppers. Youthful opulence and grainy cherry tar. It’s herbaceous and curvaceous and I’m pairing it with mushroom ravioli and “The Staircase” on Netflix tonight...the Betta fish got shutout.

Always love the old world/modern yin yang of this wine. Tar, asphalt, deep darker berry fruit profile. Plenty of resolved tannin and medium acid.

Domaine Du Gros ‘Noré harvests some of the most pedigreed fruit in Bandol, for years selling their grapes to Domaine Ott and Château de Pibarnon. Today, they craft a Bandol Rouge of elegance and length. Its fruit profile in this vintage veers just a notch redder than many of its peers - tasting of red currants, plum and game. 80% Mourvèdre, 15% Grenache, 5% Cinsaut.

Herbs, black cherry, cocoa, fur, forest and spice. A touch shut down from LBT, still gorgeous nose w/ classic Bandol character and structure on a more elegant and polished frame. Always a pleasure!

New Bandol producer for me and just killing it the second it was opened.

Nose is intoxicating. Game, meat, blood. Huge, dense, & layered blood soaked blackberries. The best Bandol I've had.
