Inky and dark, with wild, brambly blackberry, black raspberry jam, baked plum, wilted violet petals, and savory, umami notes of white pepper, Kalamata olive, bay leaf, hoisin sauce, star anise, fireplace, and smoked brisket. Subtle coffee bean and bittersweet dark chocolate notes show up on the finish. Velvet-smooth with briny acidity. Immensely satisfying winter wine.

Dark-hued and almost black. Seriously floral on the nose: violet, lilac, jammy blackberry cobbler, tarragon. Juicy dark fruit exploding through the palate interlaced with smoky, meaty bitterness. Develops into significantly more blue fruit and a vibrant olive brine. Really impressive at this price point for Syrah lovers.
