This needed some time in the decanter to open. Black cherry, bacon fat, black olive with a mineral streak, floral with lavender, pepper & wild herbs spice, good tannin structure but light on its feet with a certain elegance. Great future for this Cornas.

Blueberry on the nose. Good amount anise, medium body, slightly astringent finish.

Remarkably light for a cornas. Has weight and density, but loads of acid on finish. Old vines. Silky. All rocks and gravel on the midpalate. Smoke in front, sour cherries in back. Could chug this wine. Rare for a Syrah
