One of the better burgs I have had recently. Hands down pure expression of Pinot for the fraction of the price. I can’t find a lot of info online what happened to Benoit Germain but according to Howard, who knew him well, Benoit took his own life in 2010 (???). Tragic story and an example of that not everything is Or in Cote d’Or even if your wines shine so beautifully.

Red cherries, raspberries, white pepper, mushrooms, cloves, cherry chapstick. Excellent acid/rough velvet tannin balance. Medium bodied, juicy texture, dry slightly tart finish. Decanting recommended.
