Clos des vignes du Maynes Manganite Mâcon-Cruzille Gamay

Fresh, tart berries with an herbal undertone that I bet’s gonna be deeper tmw... not that I’ll ever know. Gulp!

There are a lot positive reviews on this one, but the bottle we opened was volatile as hell and extremely moused from the start. It was impossible to drink it. Will revisit this cuvée in the future to see if we had a bad bottle.

This is a Gamay I would have really dug in my 20's. Alas, the feral beast submits with time and persistence...

I love this producer. Not as good as the 910 that he makes, but still pretty damn good. Great representation of gamay

Ballsy at first and then comes to life after some time - Smells like the most amazing Bloody Mary.. Beautiful display of Gamay!

Depth of flavor but no heaviness, complex and layered, red and black fruit

One of my all time favorite producers. Drank great the first night, lot of red berries, spice and good acidity. Very mousy and not enjoyable at all the second night.
