Grille Midi Fleurie Gamay

Incredible structure, can't believe it's Gamay, fruit, depth, age 20 years!

Bright. Tart blackberry, sage, concrete, cranberry. Age for days.

Fresh, lean and clean. This reminds me of the good bing cherries I need in order to make a great cherry caipirinha. Not tart but not sweet either. They have to be just right!

Refers to the heat during the midday at the vineyard.

Great Cru Beaujolais. Bubble gum and red berries. Really liked it.

I believe this was the 2009. It's the old vine selection

Floral, darkfruits, very Burgundian in style, great balance, great depth, long, lingering finish, absolutely marvelous Cru Beaujolais!!

Floral and mineral aromas and flavors in this lovely Fleurie, great balance, long finish, I do so love Jean-Paul Brun’s beautiful Burgundian-like Cru Beaujolais!!

Gamay, even from Cru Beaujolais, is not really my cup of tea. But this might change mind.
Nose of cranberry, raspberry, tea leaf, menthol, and hint of rose petals. Medium to full body. The palate is fresh and surprisingly powerful. Good concentration and length.

First real exploration of gamay/beaujolais. Awesome introduction. Floral nose with hints of forest floor/mushrooms. Reminiscent of California pinot.
