This was more muscular and rigid than the Morgon, with slightly less immediate appeal but delicious nonetheless. Give it a year or two.

Beautiful, brilliant light ruby red color. The first nose is intensely on aromas of small red fruits. On the palate, it is delicately fleshy, structured, muscular and elegant. A natural wine, with a real dense chew of fresh and juicy fruit. Open 30 minutes before tasting. The tannins are soft but persistent. To drink in 2/3 years.

Cherry, hay, an earthy thing too. You can't mistake it for anything else, this is straight up gamay from beaujo. The palate is well designed with a strong acid drive, a nice cherry all along. A bit of width and a good grip. So much so that I think it lacks at least two hours of breathing and/or 2-3 years in bottle. Some tannins came up in mid palate which kick things up in every possible direction and trigger a huge finish with cherry, a bit of brown sugar, that hay thing for a very long time. This is a very good beaujo but it could benefit from a bit more time.

Gamay, which is distinguished from carbonic maceration Bojo, by its aerial vegetal character almost infused with many nuances. It is nonetheless a light wine with paradoxically intense fruit (sour cherry). The finish reveals fine and persistent tannins that are very appreciable for its price. Will « Pinote » like Burgundy wines in 2,3 years !

Light and fruity, trendy nature. Very easy to drink. The nose is charming with beautiful floral nuances (peony, rose, violet) and very Gamay red fruits. the juice is fresh, the matter on the palate is delicious. Jean Paul Brun has a great mastery of his art. At € 13.50 a bottle, what more can I say !?
