Domaine des Terres Dorées (Jean-Paul Brun)
Beaujolais Blanc Chardonnay
Too oxidized, overripe golden yellow apple, unimpressive.

Sep 21st, 2019Such elegance and restraint. Palates unwilling to dig into subtlety might call this "thin." It's actually nuanced and gorgeous. Tremendous with scallops with chive oil.

Oct 9th, 2017Pale lemon in color with a yellow tint.
Nice nose of white flowers, lemons, citrus, apples, pears, herbs, vegetables and grass.
Medium to full body with medium plus acidity, crisp and refreshing.
Dry on the palate with lemons, citrus, green apples, grapefruits, bitter herbs, spices and white pepper.
Medium minus on the finish with bitter almonds and herbs.
A nice, yet simple Beaujolais white. Refreshing and crisp with a nice balance. A good food wine.
I like the fact that it is Unoaked and feels pure, with a succulent nose, but somewhat bitter on the ending.
12% alcohol by volume.

Appearance: clear, light lemon
Nose: clean & neutral, rock/mineral at best.
Palate: dry, medium-minus acid, light lemon, light mineral and stainless. A bit vague. Short finish.
Conclusion: Good.
Commentary: Light enjoyable Chardonnay. I'm thinking Eggs Benedict as a pairing, might work. 12% ABV @ $16.
More character, slight less alc, and more money, than Three Wishes Chardonnay (12.5% ABV @ $2.50). Yes, worth the extra $13.50, if you can afford it, and are seeking a low ABV.
