Domaine des Pins
Les Pierres Saint Amour Gamay

Hell yeah! Impressed w/this Cru which I’m not familiar - deeply dark ruby/inky & opaque, gorgeous, generous & elegant nose of pure red fruit, cherry cough drop, liqueured, sweet spice like cinnamon & allspice, white pepper, mineral. Very complex & engaging. Decent heft & grip on palate w/tannins/acidity playing nicely. This has such a beautiful dusty red fruited flavor, herbaceous almost Sangiovese-like. I could see PN comparisons as well… this really delivered for around $20-22 and I can see some aging potential.

A very different Gamay than what Im used to... medium ruby color. Aromas of rose petals, pomegranate and clay. This Gamay has more Pinot flavors, with cherry and an earthy finish. A break from the “usual” Beaujolais.

Dark maroon color. Full body, Medium+ acid and high tannins. Flavors or plum, spice, and earth. Feels like is needs food to build out on the pallet.
