Nose is a bit reduced and sulfury but that will blow off. Some nice berry Syrah fruit and hints of granite. Lovely black and green olive. Spice and smoke as well. For such an inexpensive wine this is showing terrific aromatic complexity. Wow, that’s what I’m talking about! Juicy and so pure. Refined and rustic at the same time with just killer Syrah fruit that is bouncy and juicy. Lots of red berries intermingled with some dark berries as well. As it airs it gets more refined. There is a lot to like here and this represents very very good value. Really longer than it should be as well. As this airs it gets so much lighter and finesse driven. Superb wine!

Shows how a great vintage can lift a humble wine. Stellar stuff. Deeper and darker color. Deeper nose. Super floral, crushed granite, mashed flowers, violets, ripe but not too ripe. Very clean. Lovely nose. Palate has a mass of peppery fruit. Deep, ripe and complex with a huge granite footprint. Juicy and structured with ability to go 5-6 more years. Awesome.

A wine drinking so well now from an overlooked vintage. Nose has classic pepper, wet earth, grapey blackberry, some floral and cassis. A big fruity Syrah expressive nose. Palate has lovely freshness and purity with terrific high toned fruit that is extremely straight and linear. Nice tangy fruit and good length. Very good wine and value.

Classic Northern Rhône (more specifically Saint Joseph)-like nose. Oodles of crushed granite dust, very spicy blackberry-skin fruit, and you can actually sense the acidity on the nose. Almost a Loire-like freshness in the mouth, though it’s plainly Syrah. Savory, minerally, very pure and with mouth-watering acidity, which makes sense at only 12% alcohol. Basically duels Herve Souhaut to a draw at Herve’s own game.

I adore this wine. It's a crazy value in 2015. Big grapey nose. Ooh man. 15 is so dank. Olive, game, nice iodine and mineral notes. Some rocks. Deep, layered and refined. Palate is so juicy with enormous fruit and even more freshness. So deep. Tannic but they are ripe and sweet. So great.

My Go to entry level northern Rhone Syrah. Great gamey nose. Awesome acidity on the palate. A hint of green pepper this year. But soooooooo fresh.

Incredibly lifted nose with pungent cracked granite, cracked peppercorns, and lots of savory things going on. So bright and juicy in the mouth. Great acids. Just tastes like someone tried to make a lemonade-like concoction using stones that existed before there was any life on earth. It's mesmerizing and fun at the same time. Weird thing is, it's hard to detect fruit!

God 15 is so good. From the Ardeche and this is ungodly good in 2015. Nose is all fruit as soon as you pop and pour. Some spice and a nice hit of leather. The color is insane. Enormous concentration and freshness. Such intensity. So long. Ripe tannins. Painful in a good way intensity. This stains the palate. It's young. Needs 2-3 years.

One of of my favorite values in the Northern Rhone. Hugely fruity nose. Deep berry fruit. Ripe and juicy palate with huge fruit. Sappy and dense with startling depth for a wine so humble. Brilliant. So juicy. Great texture.
