Domaine des Lambrays
Morey St. Denis 1er Cru Pinot Noir
Wine #5 in the MSD Chambolle lineup tasted blind. Like many of these reds a closed nose showing some earthy perfume but the overall message is latent power. Sweet and savoury with Medium + intensity. Another GC from the 2015 vintage with a long future.

Very good right after opening, and kept getting better and better. Elegant, delicate and smooth.

Sep 26th, 2018Touch of VA on open that blew off after a bit, and this blossomed into something really nice over a few hours. Cherry, sap, rosewater, popcorn?, sous bois, tannins that definitely need to resolve, but I think this is an excellent village Burgundy, with evolution to spare for at least another 10-15 years before it matures.
