On this Friday I have decided to open a white blend from the Armagnac region of France. The blend is made up of Colombard, Ugni Blanc and Gros Menseng. Colombard and Ugni Blanc are normally used in the making of Brandy and this region is known for its brandy and not it's wine. I thought I would give it a try.
The nose gives me white flowers, peach, nectarine, and tropical fruits.
On the palate the is tart under ripe peach, grapefruit, sour green apples. This isn't as expressive as I was hoping it to be. Medium+ acidity with a light to medium mouth feel.
I was hoping for more and didn't get what I wanted.

Ripe banana, pear and white peach aromas along with the same on the palate. Very dry and yet it seems as though there might have been some oak aging or malo here.
