Vintage 2014 | Sunday lunch aperitive. Beautiful chenin blanc that show all its characteristics. Colour with gold reflection. A smell with dried apricot, Turkish delight, hint of mango. Sweet taste with enough acidity to express elegance. In former days this used to be a white Anjou, now it is classified as Coteaux de l’Aubance. Hard working family François and Gwenaelle Hery, that operates in the shade of more well known vintners.

Coteaux de l'Aubance is a small appellation in the north of Layon, named after a small river Aubance. Made from #cheninblanc. Around 180 hectare. It's a nice aperitive and combines great with Foie Gras. Can age easily for ten years and topyears even much more. This wine shows liveliness, has a beautiful smell of peach and abricot, a round taste and good potential. It's a bargain for what you get in quality.
